Each team's top-four individual scores will count each round and the top five teams at the conclusion of the tournament will advance to the NCAA Championships, May 27-June 1, in Eugene, Ore.
The Red Raiders have already played on the par-72, 7,555-yard UNM Championship Course this season, posting a second-place finish at the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate, back in September.
"It's always an honor to be selected to participate in postseason play," Texas Tech head coach Greg Sands said, after the selection show. "The Albuquerque Regional is exciting and you always have to play your best golf against some of the best teams in the country to advance. We are playing our best golf of the season and I couldn't be more excited and ready to meet the challenge."
The Red Raiders are the No. 8 seed in the Albuquerque Regional, joined by fellow Big 12 school TCU, which enters as the No. 9 seed. The remaining teams, in order of seed are: USC, Arizona State, South Florida, San Diego State, Texas A&M, N.C. State, New Mexico, Iowa, Liberty, Army, Cleveland State and Wagner.
