• Texas Tech played in front of 4,732 fans, marking the third-largest crowd in Rip Griffin Park history (2012-Present).
• Texas Tech scored 12 runs in the win, its most in an NCAA Championship game since the Red Raiders defeated Mississippi State, 14-7, at the 2004 NCAA Atlanta Regional.
• Texas Tech's 12-1 win marked its largest margin of victory in an NCAA Championship game since the Red Raiders defeated Tempe, 14-3, at the 2001 NCAA Fullerton Regional.
• Texas Tech's 12 runs marked its most in an NCAA Championship opening-round game since the Red Raiders routed Providence, 24-5, at the 1995 NCAA Midwest Regional. It was the first NCAA tournament game for the Red Raiders in school history.
• Texas Tech's 16 hits were its most in an NCAA Championship game since the Red Raiders recorded 17 against Mississippi State during the 2004 NCAA Atlanta Regional.
• The Texas Tech pitching staff allowed just one run, marking its fewest ever in an NCAA Championship opening-round game.
• Texas Tech's 12-1 victory marked its largest margin of victory in an NCAA Championship opening-round game since the Red Raiders dropped Providence, 24-5, in the 1995 NCAA Midwest Regional.
• Texas Tech has now won four-straight opening round games of the NCAA Championship dating back to the 2004 Atlanta Regional.
• Texas Tech's 12 runs marked the 15th time this season where the Red Raiders scored in double digits. It was the 32nd time where the Red Raiders have scored at least six runs.
• The Red Raiders are now 15-3 this season when scoring in the opening inning. Texas Tech is outscoring opponents, 36-25, in the first inning this year.
• Texas Tech is now 26-7 this season when hitting at least one home run. Michael Davis provided Tech's lone long ball with a leadoff blast to start the second inning.
• Texas Tech is now 18-0 this season when holding its opponent to two or less runs.
• Texas Tech turned its 68th double play of the season in the eighth inning, matching the single-season school record from 2013.
• Texas Tech had all nine starters record a hit in the win, marking the second time this season where the Red Raiders have done so. Tech also had all nine starters notch a hit on April 10 in the series finale at No. 16 Oklahoma State.

Michael Davis
• Connected on his second home run of the season with a leadoff blast to start the second inning. He also homered in Texas Tech's final game of the Big 12 Championship last Friday against Oklahoma.
Tyler Floyd
• Recorded his seventh multi-hit game of the season after finishing 2-for-3 overall with three runs scored. His three runs scored matched his career high.
Tanner Gardner
• Notched his 23rd multi-hit game of the season after finishing 2-for-3 overall with three runs scored. He is tied with Cory Raley for the team high in multi-hit performances this year.
• Matched his career high with three runs scored in the win.
Eric Gutierrez
• Extended his reached base safely streak to a season-best 20 games after connecting on a single in the eighth inning.
• Recorded the 123rd walk of his career, which ties the senior with Randy DuRoss (1992-95) for third all-time in Texas Tech history.
Davis Martin
• Tossed a career-high seven innings where he allowed just one run off five hits for his team-leading ninth win of the season. His nine wins mark the most for a Red Raider in a season since John Neely also had nine during the 2011 season.
• Ends Friday night as the only freshman in the country to have at least nine wins and an undefeated record.
Tyler Neslony
• Recorded his 17th multi-hit game of the season after going 2-for-4 overall with four RBI. It was 11th multi-RBI game of the season as well.
• His four RBI marked the most for a Red Raider in a NCAA Championship game since Josh Haney also had four on June 5, 2004, against Mississippi State.
Cory Raley
• Recorded his 23rd multi-hit game of the season after finishing 2-for-3 overall with three RBI. He is now tied with Tanner Gardner for the team high in multi-hit performances this year.
• Added his 14th multi-RBI game of the season with his three RBI.
Stephen Smith
• Reached base in all five plate appearances, going 3-for-3 overall with two walks. It marked his 19th multi-hit game of the season.
