Emma Ballard Set to Compete in 2016 WTNGA Amateur Championship

Freshman Emma Ballard will compete in the 91 person field at the 2016 WTNGA Amateur Championship
LUBBOCK, Texas- Freshman Emma Ballard will compete in the 2016 Women's TRANS National Golf Association Amateur Championship held at the Lake Forest Country Club in St. Louis, Miss., begining Tuesday morning.Â
The amateur event will feature a 72 hole stroke play competition. After 36 holes of play, the field will be cut to the lowest 60 scores and ties. Round one is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m.
Ballard appeared in seven events for the Lady Raiders last season where she maintianed a 77.57 strokeaverage in just her first season of collegiate golf.Â
The Kingswood, Texas, native will compete against a talented field of women's golfers that includes 61 collegiate golfers including three players from Big 12 teams. A full list of the players competeting can be found here.
