Fall Camp Report: Day 8
August 15, 2016 | Football
LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech got week two of fall camp underway Monday evening at the Football Training Facility.
Â
The Red Raiders went through various position drills and participated in multiple 11-on-11 periods. After practice, head coach Kliff Kingsbury met with the media and recapped Saturday's scrimmage.
"Offensively, from a ball security standpoint, I think our quarterbacks played about as efficiently as I've seen since I've been here," Kingsbury said. "All of them moved the ball well. Defensively, they came out fast and stopped the offense on its first two drives, so that was good to see. I thought it was one of the more competitive scrimmages we've had since I've been here."
Â
The Red Raiders will host 16 more practices leading into their Sept. 3 season opener against Stephen F. Austin. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. with television coverage provided by FOX Sports Net.
Â
Season tickets, single game tickets and mini plans are all still on sale for the 2016 season. Tickets can be purchased online, in person at the Texas Tech Ticket Office located on the east side of Jones AT&T Stadium or by calling 806-742-TECH.
