2016 Football Local Media Day Recap

Members of the Texas Tech football team met with the local media to discuss the upcoming season.
LUBBOCK, Texas - Head Coach Kliff Kingsbury and members of the Texas Tech football team met with the local media on Sunday to discuss the beginning of fall camp and the upcoming 2016 season.
The day began with Texas Tech Director of Athletics and Chairman of the College Football Playoff Selection Committee Kirby Hocutt addressing the group. During the press conference, he recapped last year's accomplishments, both on the field and off, and gave updates on several projects nearing completion on the Texas Tech campus.

After Hocutt, Kingsbury spoke with the media, discussing the growth of the football program and a breakdown of some of the position groups. From there, the coaching staff split up into different breakout sessions, meeting with print, TV and radio. After 45 minutes, members of the offense, then players from the defense, followed suit and met individually with the media.
