Two Texas Tech Soccer Matches to Be Televised in 2016

Two of the leagues five televised matches in the 2016 season will feature the 19th-ranked Red Raiders
LUBBOCK, Texas- The Big 12 Conference, ESPN and FOX Sports have announced that two Texas Tech soccer contests will be telecast on ESPNU and FOX Sports Regional Networks (FSN) during the 2016 campaign. Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas, Texas Tech and West Virginia will make appearances on the networks, while the Big 12 Soccer Championship final is also included on the broadcast slate.
The first of Tech's two televised matches will showcase Oklahoma State at Texas Tech at 6 p.m. CT on Friday, October 7 on FSN. The Red Raiders' televised home match against the Cowgirls will mark the first televised event from the John Walker Soccer Complex since the 2014 season.
ESPNU is slated to televise Texas Tech at West Virginia on Friday, October 14 at 7 p.m. CT. The Red Raiders won the league's postseason crown a year ago, topping the Mountaineers in the semifinals before posting a 1-0 victory over Kansas in the title match. Tech and WVU have both earned NCAA bids each of the past four seasons.
In addition to the two televised regular season games, FS1 will provide a live broadcast of the 2016 Big 12 Soccer Championship final at 2:30 p.m. CT on Sunday, November 6.
