Texas Tech Women’s basketball adds 11 third-tier TV appearances
LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech Women's Basketball has added 11 TV appearances to its 2016-17 schedule, the Texas Tech Athletics Department and Red Raider Sports Properties, a division of Learfield Sports, announced Friday afternoon.
Thirteen of the Lady Raiders' games this season will be televised.
Announced earlier this week, two Big 12 games will air on FOX Sports networks including at Kansas (Jan. 28 – 11 a.m.) and at home vs. TCU (Feb. 27 – 7 p.m.).
The Lady Raiders will make six home appearances on the school's third-tier network, Texas Tech TV on FOX Sports Southwest plus. The games will be distributed across the FOX Sports platform for the fourth consecutive year.
In non-conference play, Tech's matchup with North Dakota (Nov. 13 – 2 p.m.) will air on Fox Sports Southwest Plus. The following home game against New Mexico (Nov. 2 – 2 p.m.) will be broadcasted on FOX Sports Southwest.
Tech will have seven third-tier Big 12 broadcasts, two more than last season, starting with the second conference home game of the season against Iowa State on Jan. 4, at 6 p.m. The Lady Raiders will appear on TV again when they host West Virginia on Jan. 11, at 6:30 p.m. Tech's conference games against Kansas State (Feb. 1 -  6:30 p.m.), Oklahoma (Feb. 11 – 6:30 p.m.) and Kansas (Feb. 18 – 2 p.m.) will broadcast on FOX Sports Southwest Plus.
Additionally, all nine Phillips 66 Big 12 Women's Basketball Championship matchups are included in the package. This season marks the fourth consecutive year for the tournament to be televised. The two first round contests will air on FOX College Sports. Quarterfinal games will air on FOX Sports Regional Networks while the semifinals and final will make their national appearance on FS1.
