Tech, K-State Set for 6 p.m. Kickoff in Manhattan

Red Raiders will play their seventh-consecutive night game on Oct. 8 at Kansas State
LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech's string of night games will continue Oct. 8 as Texas Tech and Kansas State will kick off at 6 p.m. CT on either ESPN2 or ESPNU, the Big 12 Conference announced Monday morning.

It will be Tech's seventh-consecutive game to begin at 6 p.m. or later dating back to the end of the 2015 season. This will also be Tech's first appearance on an ESPN network this season.

The Red Raiders are 9-7 all-time against the Wildcats after a 59-44 victory a year ago. Tech will be looking for its first win in Manhattan since 2008 as K-State has won each of its last two games against the Red Raiders inside Bill Snyder Family Stadium.

Before traveling to K-State, the Red Raiders will first face Kansas this Thursday night in a nationally-televised broadcast on FS1. Tickets are still available and can be purchased online or by contacting the Texas Tech Ticket Office at 806-742-TECH.

The game can also be heard nationally on the Texas Tech Sports Network with Brian Jensen calling the action alongside analyst John Harris, sideline reporter Chris Level and engineer Steve Pitts.
