Lady Raiders win conference weekly honor for second straight week
LUBBOCK, Texas – After a 4-0 record on the weekend, junior Sabrina Federici was named the Big 12 Player of the Week by the league office.

Federici helped the women's tennis team to its second straight ITA Indoor National Championship appearance.

Federici and her doubles partner, Sarah Dvorak, picked up their first two ranked wins of the season with a 7-5 victory over #33 Melissa Baker/Stephanie Yamada of UC Santa Barbara and a 4-3 win over Arizona State's #36 Kelley Anderson/Savannah Slaysman.

In singles play, she pushed the Lady Raiders to a 2-1 lead with a 7-5, 6-1 win over UCSB on Saturday. She gave the Lady Raiders a 3-2 advantage over Arizona State on Sunday with a three-set win (6-4, 3-6, 6-3).

The Lady Raiders continue the 2017 season as they travel to Orlando, Fla., for two matches. Texas Tech is set to face No. 2 North Carolina at the USTA National Campus.
