Red Raiders look to end fall schedule on a high note
LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech men's golf team, recently up to No. 13 in the Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Poll, will wrap up its fall slate this week, Sunday through Tuesday, at the Tavistock Collegiate Invitational, held in Isleworth, Fla.
The three-day trek at the par-72, 7,544-yard Isleworth Country Club is the final scheduled tournament of the fall for the Red Raiders, barring a makeup tournament for the missed time in Denver, after the cancellation of the Paintbrush Invitational two weeks ago.
The No. 13 Red Raiders will be one of seven participating teams ranked in the top 25 of this month's coaches poll.
Tech has placed second in both tournaments so far this fall, one of those taking place at the Carmel Cup, where Hurly Long broke the Pebble Beach course record in the second round on his way to the individual title.
Long will also represent the Red Raiders this weekend in Florida, where he will be joined by Fredrik Nilehn, Sandy Scott, Ivan Ramirez and Kyle Hogan.
Tech will tee off Sunday morning at 7:05 a.m. CT. Hogan will lead off, followed by Ramirez, Scott, Long and Nilehn.
Golfstat will provide live scoring throughout the tournament. For additional updates on Texas Tech men's golf, follow @TTUMensGolf on Twitter and Instagram, and like Texas Tech Men's Golf on Facebook.
