Texas Tech will close its home slate with an 11 a.m. kickoff next Saturday against TCU
LUBBOCK, Texas – The Big 12 Conference announced late Saturday night that Texas Tech's home finale against TCU will kick off at 11 a.m. from Jones AT&T Stadium. Television coverage will be provided nationally on FOX Sports 1 next Saturday.
This will be Tech's school-record seventh morning kickoff this year and sixth during Big 12 play. The Red Raiders are 3-3 in those games so far this season heading into next weekend's tilt against the Horned Frogs.
Fresh off a 38-24 victory over Baylor, the Red Raiders (5-5; 2-5) will look to become bowl eligible with a win over the Horned Frogs, who are coming off a 38-20 loss at No. 5 Oklahoma Saturday night. The Horned Frogs (8-2; 5-2) came into this weekend at No. 6 in the College Football Playoff rankings.
The TCU game will be Senior Day at Jones AT&T Stadium as Tech will honor its senior class prior to kickoff. In addition, Tech is also calling for a "Red Out" as all fans are encouraged to wear red in order to cheer on the Red Raiders.
