Â
TICKETS ARE STILL AVAILABLE
Tickets for Saturday's game are still available through the Texas Tech Ticket Office. Fans can purchase tickets either by visiting the online ticket portal at TexasTech.com or by calling 806-742-TECH. The Tech Ticket Office will open its main location on the east side of Jones AT&T Stadium beginning at 8 a.m. Saturday morning. Fans can also visit the two other box office locations located near Gate 1 and 3 of the stadium (northwest and southwest corners).
Â
CELEBRATE AMERICA GAME
Texas Tech will honor military personnel and first responders Saturday with its annual Celebrate America Game, which will feature pregame and in-game recognition of every branch of the United States military. Military personnel from nearby Cannon and Dyess Air Force Bases will both be in attendance along with Congressman Jodey Arrington and Lt. General George Trautman III, who will be the honorary captains and take part in the coin toss.
Â
In addition, fans will want to be in Jones AT&T Stadium prior to kickoff as a pregame flyover is planned following the National Anthem. A V-22 Osprey out of Cannon Air Force Base will buzz the stadium with roughly eight minutes remaining until kickoff.
Â
DOLLAR GENERAL BIG 12 TAILGATE TOUR STOPS IN LUBBOCK
The Dollar General Big 12 Tailgate Tour will make its first stop in Lubbock this Saturday, appearing in Raider Alley beginning three hours from kickoff. Red Raider legends James Gray (8:30-9:30 a.m.) and Brandon Carter (9:30-10:30) will be on hand to greet fans and sign autographs. Fans can also take pictures with the Big 12 Championship trophy leading up to kickoff.
Â
LUBBOCK MUNICIPAL COLISEUM TO BE USED IN CASE OF INCLEMENT WEATHER
In cases of inclement weather, Texas Tech advises fans in the tailgate areas to take shelter inside the Lubbock Municipal Coliseum. The coliseum will open in case of inclement weather for every home game this season. Fans should stay tuned in to Double T 97.3 FM on the radio and @TechAthletics on Twitter for weather updates, if needed. As a reminder, umbrellas are not permitted inside Jones AT&T Stadium.
Â
CATCH THE RED RAIDERS ON THEIR WAY TO WARMUPSÂ Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
Texas Tech fans might have noticed during the Eastern Washington game that the Red Raiders took a different path to their gameday locker room. Beginning roughly 85 minutes to kickoff, Tech will transition from its locker room inside the Football Training Facility to the one inside Jones AT&T Stadium as the Red Raiders will walk through the Sports Performance Center and enter the stadium through the doors directly under the Double T scoreboard. Fans are encouraged to greet the Red Raiders as they had to the stadium beginning around 9:30 a.m. Saturday.
Â
HALFTIME SHORTENED DUE TO NEW NCAA RULES
Fans returning to the tailgate areas during the game should be aware that halftime will be shorter moving forward than in years past. The referee will start the 20-minute clock shortly after the final play has concluded, signaling the start of halftime. The referee had previously waited until both teams cleared the field.
Â
RED RAIDER EXPERIENCE
Want to watch pregame warmups from the sidelines or maybe take a pregame photo on the field? These options are available through the Texas Tech Experience app, which allows fans to purchase various upgrades straight from their mobile device.
Â
HEAT MANAGEMENT POLICY
With Texas Tech's updated heat management, fans are reminded that an unopened 20 ounce (or less) bottle of water can now be brought into any outdoor athletics venue on campus. Please note that frozen water will not be allowed through the stadium gates.
