LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech soccer will begin its 2017 spring schedule with a pair of home matches on Saturday, Feb. 25, and Sunday, Feb. 26, at the John Walker Soccer Complex.
The Red Raiders will host Abilene Christian on Saturday at 1 p.m., followed by West Texas A&M on Sunday at 4 p.m.
Admission is free for all fans looking to attend home games at the John Walker Soccer Complex.
This weekend's contests will feature two of the three matches Tech will play in Lubbock this spring. The third will take place on April 22, at 10 a.m., when the Red Raiders take on Air Force to wrap the schedule. Sandwiched in between are two road dates, the first will be played on March 4 against Northwestern State in Bossier City, Louisiana at 3 p.m. The final road match is scheduled for April 15, when Tech travels to Albuquerque to face New Mexico on April 15 at 2 p.m.
The Red Raiders clinched their fifth-straight NCAA Championship berth in 2016, after posting a 9-9-2 overall record. Tech returns the bulk of their core in 2017, while replacing four seniors from the 2016 squad, including All-Big 12 goalkeeper Lauren Watson.
Stone and his staff added 11 during the signing period to reload the Texas Tech offense and bolster the returning stellar defensive unit.
