No. 9 Tech Heads West For Bandon Dunes Championship

Texas Tech set for first trip to Bandon Dunes
LUBBOCK, Texas – The No. 9 Texas Tech men's golf team is headed to Bandon, Ore. to compete in the Bandon Dunes Championship, March 12-14.
Texas Tech is the highest ranked team to compete at this event, followed by No. 14 Oregon, No. 18 Texas A&M, No. 19 Auburn and No. 21 Colorado according to Golfweek.
Tech has had a strong first half of its spring slate, remaining in the top 15 for the entirety of the semester. Last week in Las Vegas, the Red Raiders finished with consecutive under-par rounds at the Southern Highlands Classic and took third place.
This week's lineup will be the same as the group that got third in Vegas, as Fredrik Nilehn, Hannes Ronneblad, Federico Zucchetti, Ivan Ramirez and Sandy Scott will represent the Red Raiders.
Texas Tech enters this tournament ranked No. 9 in the Golfweek Men's Team Collegiate Rankings, and No. 11 in both Golfstat and the Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Poll.
Tech continues to be represented in the European Palmer Cup standings, as Nilehn (No. 1), Zucchetti (No. 2) and Ronneblad (No. 5) continue to occupy the top five.
