Women’s Tennis Ranks Seventh in Final Oracle/ITA Poll

Lady Raiders earn highest final ranking in school history
TEMPE, Ariz. – The Texas Tech Women's Tennis team finished the 2017 season with a No. 7 Oracle/ ITA Ranking in the final poll, the highest final ranking in school history.
The Lady Raiders have stayed in the Top 25 for 46 consecutive weeks and a Top 10 ranking for the last 13 weeks. Texas Tech has posted a 15-5 record against nationally ranked opponents including wins over four Top 10 opponents.
Texas Tech is the highest ranked Big 12 member followed by No. 10 Oklahoma State, No. 17 Baylor, No. 22 Texas, No. 28 TCU, No. 39 Kansas and No. 47 Oklahoma.
The Lady Raiders will return all six members of its singles lineup from the 2017 season and adds two newcomers to the roster.
Juniors Gabriela Talaba, Sabrina Federici, Sarah Dvorak and Sophomore Felicity Maltby continue their run at the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championship this week. Live streaming and results are available at GeorgiaDogs.com.
