Lady Raiders Add Blake Turner to Staff

Former student manager continues work with Lady Raiders as graduate assistant

LUBBOCK, Texas – Lady Raider Basketball Head Coach Candi Whitaker has announced that former student manager Blake Turner will join the staff as a graduate assistant.

"Blake has a tremendous work ethic, passion for basketball and commitment to Lady Raider Basketball. We are excited about him serving in a graduate assistant role," Whitaker said.

Turner is originally from Tulia, Texas. He graduated this May from Texas Tech with a bachelor's degree in sport management. He joined the Lady Raiders last season after serving two seasons as a manager with the men's basketball team.

"I'm excited to be a part of a program that is on the rise in the Big 12 and to work with the best coaching staff in the country," Turner said. "I am thankful for the opportunity Coach Whitaker has given me and I can't wait to get to work."
