Stojsavljevic Helps Croatia to 2-1 Start at FIBA U20

Newcomer posts first double-double during international tournament
Eilat, Israel – Lady Raider newcomer Tihana Stojsavljevic helped the Croatian National Team to a 2-1 start in pool play of the FIBA U20 Championships last weekend.

Croatia opened with a 65-51 win over host country Israel. In just eight minutes of action, Stojsavljevic scored five points and tallied three rebounds and an assist.

Stojsavljevic earned her first start for the Croatian National Team during game two against Belarus. She led the team with a double-double, scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds in 28 minutes of play.

On Monday, Stojsavljevic and the Croatian National Team took down Romania, 73-63, heading into the first break.

Croatia is tied for second place of the Division B pool. After all the teams have played each other, the top two teams in each group will advance straight to the finals while the rest of the teams will play for placing during the semifinals.

Stojsavljevic and her teammates will continue play tomorrow at 8 a.m. when they face Ireland. The group play will conclude on Thursday with Croatia taking on Great Britain at 12:30 p.m.
