Hinton Opens Competition in Canada

Kaylee Hinton represents Team USA on day one of her heptathlon performance in Ottawa, Canada.
OTTAWA, Canada – Kaylee Hinton began her run for Team USA at the NACAC Capital Cup Combined Events Championships today, ending the first half of her heptathlon performance in sixth with 3,345 points.
Hinton started off this morning with a first-place 100m hurdle time of 13.73 to gather 1,017 points. In Hinton's second event of the day, the women's high jump, she took third at a 1.73m/5-8 bar after two first-attempt clearances to bring her total to 1,908 points. She capped off the day with a 24.51 second-place run in the 200m dash, ultimately positioning her in her sixth-place half-way mark at 3,345 points.
