Anthony Lynn, Head Coach, Los Angeles Chargers
Preseason Week 3 Matchup: Chargers 21, Rams 19
- Lynn earned his first win as a head coach in the NFL with a 21-19 victory over the Los Angeles Rams in week 3 of the NFL preseason. Lynn was a Red Raider running back from 1988-1991, and was an All-SWC selection in 1990 … He was also a member of the back-to-back Super Bowl Champion Denver broncos in 1997 & 1998. Lynn is 1-2 so far this preseason in his inaugural season as the head coach of the Los Angeles Chargers.Â
Jace Amaro, TE (Tennessee Titans)
Preseason Week 3 Matchup: Bears 19, Titans 7
- Amaro did not factor into Sunday's loss against the Bears. Amaro has registered 2 catches for 12 yards so far in the preseason, as he battles for a roster spot in his second year with the Titans … Amaro was the New York Jets' second-round pick (49th overall) in the 2014 NFL Draft.

Danny Amendola, WR (New England Patriots)
Preseason Week 3 Matchup: Patriots 30, Lions 28
- Amendola caught 2 passes for 27 yards in Saturday's win over Lions. Amendola is entering his 9th season in the NFL, and his 5th with the Patriots … Amendola is set to receive an extended amount of playing time following the season-ending injury of Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman … the The 2-time Super Bowl champ has 3 receptions for 33 yards so far this preseason.

Le'Raven Clark, OL (Indianapolis Colts)
Preseason Week 3 Matchup: Colts 19, Steelers 15
- In just his second season in the NFL, the 2016 third-round draft pick is battling for a starting spot on the Colts' offensive line … Clark played 29 offensive snaps in Saturday's win over the Steelers … Clark was the first of three Red Raiders to be drafted in the 2016 NFL draft, going at No. 82 overall … Clark started all 51 games of his Red Raider career, and his senior year he was named a CBS Sports second team All-American ... He was the third-round pick of the Colts in the 2016 NFL Draft.
Michael Crabtree, WR (Oakland Raiders)
Preseason Week 3 Matchup: Cowboys 24, Raiders 20
- In his third season with the Raiders, Crabtree is set to have another productive season as a starting wide receiver … He hauled in 2 catches for 9 yards in Saturday's loss to the Cowboys … Crabtree has 521 receptions, 6,252 yards and 43 touchdowns in his eight years in the NFL … Crabtree has hauled in three catches for 22 yards so far this preseason, including an impressive 13-yard TD against the Rams … Crabtree played two seasons at Texas Tech (2007-08), where he became the first receiver in collegiate history to win the Biletnikoff Award twice, before the 49ers selected him with the 10th overall pick of the 2009 NFL Draft.

Reginald Davis III, WR (Atlanta Falcons)
Preseason Week 3 Matchup: Cardinals 24, Falcons 14
- Davis caught 2 passes for 10 yards in Saturday's loss to the Cardinals … The undrafted free agent has two catches for 18 yards so far this preseason, trying to claim a spot on Atlanta's roster … Davis played in all four seasons at Texas Tech, hauling in a total of 97 catches, while gaining 1301 yards and scoring 18 touchdowns.

Cody Davis, DB (Los Angeles Rams)
Preseason Week 3 Matchup: Chargers 21, Rams 19
- Davis recorded 1 tackle in Saturday's loss to the Chargers … Davis has registered seven tackles this preseason, coming off a 2016 season in which he recorded his first interception as a pro … Davis was a four-year letterman with the Red Raiders (2009-12) and then signed as an undrafted free agent with the Rams in 2013.
Jakeem Grant, WR (Miami Dolphins)
Preseason Week 3 Matchup: Eagles 38, Dolphins 31
- Grant continues to prove himself to be a homerun threat, logging a 69-yard TD reception in Friday's loss to the Eagles, breaking multiple tackles in the process … Grant has caught a total of 4 passes for a combined 89 yards in 3 weeks of the NFL preseason … Grant was Miami's sixth-round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft after a senior year at Tech in which he averaged 181 all-purpose yards per game which ranked fourth nationally, and ranked fourth nationally with 1,017 kickoff return yards and fifth with two kickoff return touchdowns.

Kerry Hyder, DE, (Detroit Lions)
Preseason Week 3 Matchup: Patriots 30, Lions 28
- After a breakout performance in 2016, where he led the Lions in sacks, Hyder suffered a torn Achilles and will miss the 2017 season. Hyder joined the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent in 2014 after a Red Raider career which included a litany of All-Big 12 honors in 2013 and 2014.

Branden Jackson, DE (Oakland Raiders)
Preseason Week 3 Matchup: Cowboys 24, Raiders 20
- Jackson recorded 1 tackle in Saturday's loss to the Cowboys … Jackson has recorded three tackles this preseason after being called up from the practice squad and becoming a regular contributor in 2016 … Jackson was the sixth Red Raider to make an NFL roster in 2016, following his career at Texas Tech in which he started in 38 games.

Patrick Mahomes II, QB (Kansas City Chiefs)
Preseason Week 3 Matchup: Seahawks 26, Chiefs 13
- Mahomes continues to impress as he completed 8 passes for 70 yards in Friday's loss to the Seahawks … The 10th overall pick of the 2017 draft has already turned heads in KC, completing 66% of his passes for 207 yards and three TDs with no picks in just over three quarters of action, and becoming the Chiefs' backup in the process … Mahomes is slated to start Thursday's preseason finale against the Titans.

Bradley Marquez, WR (Los Angeles Rams)
Preseason Week 3 Matchup: Chargers 21, Rams 19
- After injuring his knee in a preseason game, Marquez cleared waivers and has been placed on injured reserve by the Rams. Marquez played four seasons at Texas Tech (2010-14) before the Rams signed him as an undrafted free agent in the spring of 2015.

Ondre Pipkins, DT (Washington Redskins)
Preseason Week 3 Matchup: Redskins 23, Bengals 17
- After being signed as an undrafted free agent, Pipkins has seen action in each preseason game so far for the Redskins. Pipkins played one year at Texas Tech, where he racked up 32 tackles, 4.0 tackles for loss, a pass breakup and a fumble recovery from his defensive tackle position.

Pete Robertson, DL (Washington Redskins)
Preseason Week 3 Matchup: Redskins 23, Bengals 17
- In his second year in the NFL, Robertson has collected seven tackles and a forced fumble so far this preseason for the Redskins. As a Red Raider, Robertson led the Red Raider defense with five sacks and three quarterback hurries, concluding his career ranked fifth among Red Raider career sack leaders with 21.0, after leading the Big 12 in 2014 with 12.0 sacks … was an All-Big 12 first team selection in 2014.

Taylor Symmank, P (Minnesota Vikings)
Preseason Week 3 Matchup: Vikings 32, 49ers 31
- Symmank has made a case to be the Vikings' starting punter, averaging a booming 42.9 yards per punt, and none of his nine punts have been returned thus far this preseason. Symmank ended his Red Raider career following the 2015 season after averaging 43.6 yards per punt, the highest mark in school history. He averaged a booming 46.0 yards per punt attempt during his senior year alone, easily the highest in his career and the second-highest mark for a single season in school history.

La'Adrian Waddle, OL (New England Patriots)
Preseason Week 3 Matchup: Patriots 30, Lions 28
- The Super Bowl champion has seen action in two games so far this preseason, picking up one start for the Patriots. Waddle played four seasons at Tech (2009-12) before being signed by the Detroit Lions as an undrafted free agent in 2013.

DeAndre Washington, RB (Oakland Raiders)
Preseason Week 3 Matchup: Cowboys 24, Raiders 20
- After a rookie season in which he became one of the NFL's best change-of-pace backs, Washington has compiled 57 yards on 14 carries so far this preseason. Washington was the first Red Raider running back to register back-to-back 1,000 yard seasons since former Doak Walker Award winner Byron Hanspard in 1995 and 1996. He's one of five players in school history to rush for over 1,000 yards twice in a career.
