Women’s Tennis Opens Fall Slate in Midland

Three newcomers will make their Texas Tech debuts this weekend

LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech Women's Tennis opens the 2017 fall season with the Racquet Club Collegiate Invitational in Midland, Texas, this weekend.

The Lady Raiders will send four student-athletes to the singles and doubles event. Senior Katelyn Jackson is the only returner to play in the tournament. Newcomers Lana Rush, Alex Angyalosy and Gabriela Tenorio will make their Texas Tech debuts this weekend in Midland.

Senior Sabrina Federici won six matches on her way to the main singles draw crown last year.

Next up is the Lubbock 25K (Sept. 18-24) event held at the McLeod Tennis Center and the TCU Invitational (Sept. 22-24) in Fort Worth, Texas.
