LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech is slated for 11 a.m. kickoff when the Red Raiders travel to Ames on Oct. 27, the Big 12 Conference announced Monday as part of its weekly unveiling of game times. Television coverage will be provided nationally on ESPN2.
The 11 a.m. start will be the third of the season for the Red Raiders (4-2; 2-1), who will be looking to extend their three-game Big 12 road winning streak against the Cyclones (3-3; 2-2). The current streak, which dates back to the 2017 regular-season finale at Texas, is Tech's longest since the 2008 campaign.
The Red Raiders are 11-5 all-time against Iowa State, which includes a 3-3 mark in games at Jack Trice Stadium in Ames. The Cyclones have won each of the last two meetings, including a 31-13 victory in Lubbock a year ago.
Tech will first set its sights on Kansas this weekend as kickoff between the Red Raiders and Jayhawks is slated for 2:30 p.m. from Jones AT&T Stadium. Coverage will be provided nationally on FOX Sports 1 and the Texas Tech Sports Network.
Tickets are still on sale for the Kansas game by purchasing online or by contacting the Texas Tech Ticket Office at 806-742-TECH. Fans can purchase four tickets for as low as $100 to the Kansas game. Kansas tickets can also be packaged with the Oklahoma game on Nov. 3 for only $100 a person.
