Lady Raiders Move Up to No. 6 in USTA Rankings

No. 6 ranking ties highest USTA ranking in program history
LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech Women's Tennis team jumped to No. 6 in the latest USTA College Top 25 poll, the organization announced Wednesday.

This ranking ties the program's highest ranking from USTA and the highest of the season.

The Lady Raiders have held on to No. 8 in the Oracle/ITA Top 25 poll for six straight weeks after the poll was released on Tuesday. Â

Texas Tech jumped back into the win column with back-to-back sweeps over Arizona and No. 37 NC State last weekend.

Senior Gabriela Talaba clinched the win for the Lady Raiders with a straight-set victory over Arizona's Mary Lewis on Friday.

Senior Sarah Dvorak sealed the 4-0 win over No. 37 NC State for the Lady Raiders with her 6-1, 6-2 win over Amanda Rebol on court four.

The Lady Raiders travel to No. 50 Rice on Saturday for a non-conference match. First serve is set for 11 a.m.
