Felicity Maltby Earns Rankings in Preseason Polls

Senior leads team with singles, doubles rankings
TEMPE, Ariz. – Senior Felicity Maltby earned a spot in the Oracle/ITA Division I Preseason Ranking, the ITA announced on Tuesday.

Maltby ranked No. 37 in the preseason national ranking. She closed out the 2017-18 season with a 14-12 record in singles play, 13-8 in dual matches. Last season, Maltby was named to the All-Big 12 First Team in doubles with teammate Gabriela Talaba and earned her second Academic All-Big 12 selection.

Over the summer, Maltby made several Round of 16 and Quarterfinals in professional events. She fell in the round of 16 at the Les Contamines-Montjoie 15K event and advanced to the quarterfinals in doubles with Talaba at the Bethany Beach 25K event. Â

In doubles preseason rankings, Maltby and newcomer Nell Miller earned a spot in the national rankings (No. 53).

The Lady Raiders begin the 2018 fall season at the Midland Invitational this weekend.
