Lady Raiders Travel to TCU Big 5 Challenge

Texas Tech to face strong competition in Fort Worth
LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech Women's Tennis team is set to play in the Big 5 Challenge hosted by TCU this weekend.
Due to heavy rains in the Fort Worth forecast this weekend, the tournament has been moved up to begin play today.

Student-athletes from Virginia, Georgia, Texas A&M, Arizona, TCU, Virginia Tech, Missouri, Auburn, Kansas State, Arizona State, Kansas and Notre Dame will also be in attendance. Eight of the 12 schools competing made the NCAA tournament last season, including two Elite Eight teams (Texas Tech & Georgia).Â

Texas Tech will play doubles at 4 p.m. this afternoon and doubles and singles on Friday starting at 8:30 a.m.

Next up on the Lady Raiders' fall schedule is the pre-qualifying rounds of the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships in Pacific Palisades, Calif.
