September 20, 2018 | Women's Volleyball
Graystone will address the crowd and hold a Q&A session following Tech’s Big 12 home opener.
LUBBOCK, Texas – Fresh off a win at No. 19 Baylor, Texas Tech volleyball has announced an addition to its fan experience for two matches during the 2018 Big 12 home slate.
Â
Head coach Tony Graystone, along with select members of the staff and team, will hold a postgame chalk talk for two dates, starting with this Saturday's Big 12 home opener against West Virginia. The second chalk talk will take place following the TCU match on Oct. 27.
Â
The events will take place behind the home bench approximately 15 minutes following the singing of the Matador Song. Fans are encouraged to stick around for postgame autographs with the team and then find a seat in section 107 for the chalk talk. Graystone will address the crowd and take questions.
Â
"I'm excited about the upcoming chalk talk series, and appreciate the opportunity to talk volleyball with our fans and answer their questions," Graystone said. "We've got a great fan base, and I'm looking forward to sharing more about our team with them."
Â
Saturday marks the first home match for Texas Tech (12-3, 1-0) since Aug. 25. Tech has won six in a row entering Saturday's tilt, including a 3-1 win in Waco for its first ranked road win since 2004.
Â
Saturday's first serve against the Mountaineers (7-6, 0-1) will be at 1 p.m., and the first 250 fans will receive a complimentary PopSocket.
