Frisco Spring Game: What to Know for Saturday

Texas Tech will host its Spring Game at 2 p.m. Saturday inside the Ford Center at The Star
LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech closes its first spring drills under head coach Matt Wells on Saturday when the Red Raiders travel to The Star in Frisco for the Spring Game Presented by Double Eagle. Kickoff is slated for 2 p.m. with television coverage provided on FOX Sports Southwest.
Below are several key pieces of information for fans heading to Frisco this weekend:
TICKETS ARE STILL AVAILABLE
Tickets for Saturday's game are still available through the Texas Tech Ticket Office. Fans can purchase tickets in advance by visiting the online ticket portal at TexasTech.com or by calling 806-742-TECH. Tickets are priced at $10 for adults 19 years of age or older, while students 18 years or younger will be admitted free. All fans, regardless of age, must have a ticket for entry into the Ford Center.
The Texas Tech Ticket Office will open at 11 a.m. Saturday outside the main entrance to the Ford Center, which is the indoor facility associated with The Star in Frisco complex. Tickets purchased in advanced can be picked up from this location as well.
RED RAIDER RELOAD T-SHIRT WILL BE PRESENTED TO FIRST 3,000 FANS
A special "Red Raider Reload" t-shirt will be available to the first 3,000 fans through the Ford Center doors on Saturday. Tech will also have face painting and photo booth stations located throughout the concourse. Tech will not have any pregame activities on the Tostitos Championship Plaza this year due to inclement weather conditions forecasted for the DFW area.
FREE PARKING AVAILABLE
Parking will be available for fans throughout The Star complex as fans are encouraged to use the B1 or A2 surface lots as well as the Baylor Scott and White garage. Parking will be free for all fans.
SCRIMMAGE FORMAT
Wells is expected to run the Red Raiders through two full quarters of play Saturday in the final scrimmage of the spring. Tech will then take a 10-minute halftime break before going through a series of one-on-one drills, including seven-on-seven skeleton, inside run with running backs and linebackers, man-to-man coverage with wide receivers and defensive backs and then defensive line versus offensive line.
Tech will use a special scoring system for Saturday's game comprised of the following:

CLEAR BAG POLICY IN PLACE AT THE STAR
Similar to Texas Tech home events, the Dallas Cowboys also enforce a clear bag policy for all fans entering the Ford Center. Metal detection and wand screenings will be used at entry points to Ford Center. Re-entry is not permitted.
TEXAS TECH TEAMS WITH MAKE-A-WISH® FOUNDATION OF NORTH TEXAS
The Red Raiders will have two special guests at Saturday's scrimmage in Leo and Christian, who will join the Texas Tech family as part of a partnership with the Make-A-Wish Foundation of North Texas. Leo and Christian will be with the Red Raiders throughout the day as the official Texas Tech Fearless Wish Kids.

- 3 points: Field Goal
- 2 points: Run of 15+ Yards
- 2 points: Pass of 20+ Yards
- 1 point: First Down
- 1 point: PAT Conversion
- 2 point: Conversion
Defense:
- 12 points: Touchdown
- 6 points: Turnover
- 3 points: 3-and-out, block or miss FG
- 2 points: Stopped drive, sack, tackle for loss
- 1 or 2 points: Failed PAT/2 point conversion
