Emma Villas-Gomis Signs with Lady Raider Basketball

JuCo transfer commits to Coach Marlene, Lady Raiders for 2019-20 season
LUBBOCK, Texas – Junior college transfer Emma Villas-Gomis has signed a National Letter of Intent and will join the Lady Raider Basketball program for the 2019-20 season, Head Coach Marlene Stollings announced Saturday.

The 6-3 talent will fit well in the Texas Tech positionless system. Villas-Gomis is the first-ever player to join the Lady Raiders from Fontenay-Sous-Bois, France.

She played her first two seasons of collegiate basketball at Salt Lake Community College. While there, she helped the Bruins to a 51-12 record and back-to-back NJCAA tournament appearances. Villas-Gomis also helped the Bruins to back-to-back Region 18 championships and Scenic West Athletic Conference titles, the programs fifth and sixth consecutive championships.

Villas-Gomis also ranks in the Top 100 in the World Exposure Report.
