Lady Raider Tennis Releases 2021 Spring Schedule

LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech women's tennis head coach Todd Petty has released the team's 2021 spring schedule. The schedule features 25 matches for the Lady Raiders, including 12 to be played at home.

The schedule includes eight matches played against teams that finished last season in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association team rankings.

The team is scheduled to serve up the spring slate on Jan. 11 at a mock dual event in Dallas before opening dual action with its first seven matches away from home, beginning with a trio of matches against Kansas State, Tulsa and Oklahoma in Norman, Okla., from Jan. 21-24. The Lady Raiders then head south to Houston for a Feb. 6 doubleheader against Rice and Sam Houston State, before a Feb. 7 match at Houston.

The team's first home duals of the season will be played on Feb. 12 against Arkansas and Abilene Christian. Tech will wrap up the weekend on Sunday, Feb. 14 against Arizona State.

The Lady Raiders will continue the homestand on Feb. 20 against SMU, before closing out February with TCU (Feb. 27), New Mexico (Feb. 27) and UTEP (Feb. 28)

After a roadtrip to Waco to face Baylor on March 7, Texas Tech returns home for a Big 12 match against Kansas State on March 12 and a doubleheader with Kansas and Tarleton State on March 14.

The team will hit the road for a six-match road trip with duals at Iowa State (March 19), West Virginia (March 21), Oklahoma State (March 26), Oklahoma (March 28), SMU (April 8) and TCU (April 10).

The Lady Raiders will close out the regular season schedule at home with conference tests against Texas (April 16) and Baylor (April 18).

The 2021 Big 12 Tournament is scheduled for April 23-25 in Waco, Texas.
