Brewer Earns Third-Straight Selection to Academic All-District Team

LUBBOCK, Texas – For the third-straight season, Texas Tech Lady Raider senior Brittany Brewer has been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District 7 team.

As a sophomore, Brewer became the third player in program history to earn the honor, and she is the first Lady Raider to be named All-District in three-straight seasons.

Brewer is one of five players from District 7 to be named to the squad. The team also features four Big 12 players. The four other players to make the list included Lauren Cox (Baylor), Vivian Gray (Oklahoma State), Erica Ogwumike (Rice) and Peyton Williams (Kansas State).

Brewer graduated last summer with a degree in Community, Family and Addiction Sciences and a 4.0 GPA. Last fall she started graduate school, and turned in a 3.66 GPA in her first grad semester. Brewer became the program's first athlete to be named to the Academic All-America first team last season.

First-team Academic All-District honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot. First-, second- and third-team (if applicable) Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in mid-March.
