Tech to Face LSU at First Bossier Classic

Red Raiders traveling for fifth annual First Bossier Soccer Classic.
LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech soccer will continue its spring Saturday with an exhibition against LSU in Bossier City, La. Hosted by First Bossier Church, the fifth annual showdown between the Red Raiders and Tigers will also include a church service and youth clinic hosted by the two teams.
"First Bossier does an amazing job hosting us," said head coach Tom Stone. "We like the idea that we get to go to such a cool place, play in front of a bunch of kids and fans, and in such a cool environment. It's a long haul, but it's worth it."
Tech will enter Louisiana one week removed from its first win of the spring, a 3-1 victory over Abilene Christian. Kirsten Davis netted two goals, including the game-winner. It was nothing new for the All-American, who last year tied the program for game-winners in a single season with six. She was assisted on the second goal by Charlotte Teeter, who herself curved in a corner kick for the team's third score.
First touch in Bossier City is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Admission is free. Additional details about the friendly between the Big 12 and SEC programs are available here.
