Bruffy Named to NFF Hampshire Honor Society

Bruffy was recognized for his work in the classroom Wednesday by the National Football Foundation
LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech offensive lineman Travis Bruffy was recognized Wednesday as an inductee into the National Football Foundation (NFF) Hampshire Honor Society, which is presented to student-athletes across the country for their work in the classroom.

Bruffy, a native of Missouri City, Texas, completed his Red Raider career this past fall as a three-year starter on the offensive line as well as one of the team's top academic performers. He started in all 12 games during his senior campaign, giving him 34 over his career.

In the classroom, Bruffy excelled as a double major in both finance and accounting, earning Academic All-Big 12 first team honors three times in the process. He earned his degree from Texas Tech this past December, soon after completing his playing career.

Bruffy was one of 1,432 players honored across all levels of college football as the NFF Hampshire Honor Society recognizes the top student-athletes across the FBS, FCS, Division II, Division III and NAIA classifications.

Qualifications for membership in the NFF Hampshire Honor Society include the following:

Bruffy is one of several Red Raiders hoping to hear his name called next week during the 2020 NFL Draft. The three-day draft runs April 23-25 with television coverage provided on ABC, ESPN and NFL Network.

- Being a starter or a significant contributor in one's last year of eligibility (or a junior who has declared for the NFL Draft) at the NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision, Football Championship Subdivision, Division II, Division III or an NAIA college or university.
- Achieving a 3.2 cumulative grade-point-average throughout the entire course of undergraduate study.
- Meeting all NCAA/NAIA mandated progress towards degree requirements.
