The Players' Journal: It Doesn't Feel Real

It doesn't feel real. It's been two and a half months since we played our last game and it still doesn't feel real. This team was ready to do big things and having our season cut short was heartbreaking. This time has been the craziest, but I am so grateful for the unexpected time that I've been able to spend with my friends and family.
I do believe that this is a part of God's greater plan and I know that we will all get through this together. My family and I have been praying for those who have been affected by this virus. As the stay at home orders have been lifted in some areas, we are continuing to remain cautious and think of others, as well as ourselves.
Now that it's summer, I don't have much of a schedule. I spend my time working out, trying to find new Netflix shows, and spending time with the ones closest to me. Being able to be with my friends and family during this tough time is something I am extremely thankful for.
I want to continue to take this time to find myself, to enjoy the time I get with my people, to grow closer to God, and to appreciate the little things in this crazy life we're all living. I miss my teammates like crazy, but I'm so thankful for the crazy zoom calls that keep us connected. I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy and I pray that normalcy is something we see very soon!
Until next time,
