Volleyball Set for Annual Red & Black Scrimmages

LUBBOCK, Texas –The Texas Tech volleyball team is set to host its annual Red & Black scrimmages at United Supermarkets Arena on Aug. 28-29.
First serve on Friday is set for 3:30 p.m. and Saturday's action is set to begin at 12 p.m. This year's Red & Black scrimmages will be closed to the public.
Heading into the 2020 season, Tech welcomes back the bulk of its roster from 2019. All-Big 12 Preseason Team honoree Brooke Kanas will return to the floor, along with Emerson Solano, Allison Bloss (formerly Allison White), Caitlin Dugan, Alex Kirby, Karrington Jones and Katy Northcut.
Five new faces will hit the floor as freshmen Mackenzie Morgan, Maddie O'Brien and Reese Rhodes – along with transfers Reagan Cooper and Samantha Sanders – will get their first taste of Tech's Red & Black action.
