Virtual First Pitch Event Moved to Wednesday

Virtual event to be live streamed on Wednesday, Feb. 17, at 6:15 p.m.
UPDATE: Due to conflicts with the amended Red Raider Basketball schedule, the Virtual First Pitch Event has been moved to Wednesday at 6:15 p.m.

LUBBOCK, Texas – The 2021 Red Raider Baseball season will officially begin Tuesday, Feb. 16, as the Red Raider Club and the Double T Varsity Club invite fans from across the globe to attend the Virtual First Pitch Event, featuring Head Coach Tim Tadlock.Â
In addition to Coach Tadlock, fans will hear from several current Red Raiders, as well as Texas Tech great Brian Klein. Â Fans will also be able to bid on exciting auction items, including a 2019 Team Autographed College World Series Sign, a Josh Jung Autographed Texas Tech Jersey and a Tim Tadlock Autographed Baseball.

The event begins at 7 p.m. and will be streamed across the official Texas Tech Athletics Twitter, Facebook and YouTube pages as well as ESPN+.

The virtual event replaces the annual preseason First Pitch Event, which annually produces record crowds of Texas Tech Baseball supporters. The in-person event will not take place this year out of concern for COVID-19.
