White Named Big 12 Goalkeeper of the Week

Tech keeper’s clean sheet of Alabama nets her weekly award from Big 12 Conference.
IRVING, Texas – The Big 12 Conference announced Tuesday Madison White was named the conference's Goalkeeper of the Week after the sophomore posted a clean sheet over Alabama.
Tech's win over the Crimson Tide took place in Bossier City, La., at the First Bossier Classic. Kirsten Davis netted 16th-minute goal was all White would need as she would go on to make three saves and claim several threatening Bama crosses to lead Tech to the win.
The award is White's seventh weekly honor from the conference. The former Big 12 Freshman of the Year has now been named Goalkeeper of the Week twice, Freshman of the Week twice and Defensive Player of the Week three times.
"Madi was great in all phases," said head coach Tom Stone. "Her feet and kicking game were excellent and she made the biggest save of the game in the last minutes to keep the shutout and preserve the win."
White and the Red Raiders will face-off with another SEC opponent, LSU, on Saturday at Texas Woman's University in Dallas.
