Ruth Usoro established a new Big 12 Championships record in the triple jump with a 46'-1.5" (14.06m) mark. The senior landed the jump on her very first attempt, and it was plenty to win the event as she was over two feet in front of the rest of the field. Usoro has competed in four triple jump competitions with a title on the line – three times at Big 12s and once at the NCAA Championships – and has won the gold every time. She was joined on the podium by Chinne Okoronkwo, whose career-best 43'-4" (13.18m) was good for sixth.

Demisha Roswell finished just outside the top-three for the Red Raiders in the 100m hurdles after running 13.39. It was a strong showing for Roswell, who PR'd in the event the day prior at 13.17. The men's hurdles saw scoring from Maliek Kendall, who place eighth.
Tech's men totaled 85 points as a team. They began the day with a bronze medal 4x100 run by Courtney Lindsey, Jacolby Shelton, Daniel Omah and Keion Sutton. They timed 39.89. The sprint for the Red Raiders claimed a bronze behind a time of 39.75 for TCU, which won the event.
The highlight of the day on the track was the 100m, where Courtney Lindsey and Jacolby Shelton claimed the first top two spots. The two crossed nearly simultaneously in 10.26 seconds, forcing the timers to go to the thousandths to separate the two. The title would go to Lindsey, whose 10.252 edged Shelton's 10.254. The duo's race put 18 points on the board.
Gabe Oladipo won the men's discus crown with his throw of 187'-0" (57.00m). It was Oladipo's first title meet in the discus, and the win was an exciting one for the conference's weight throw champion. This is what ??-?? in the ?? looks like?? @GodSpeedddd x @TheOfficialJS3 pic.twitter.com/dq6rNsHMHZ
