Davis Named Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week

IRVING, Texas – Senior forward Kirsten Davis was named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week Tuesday afternoon following a four-goal and one assist performance this past weekend. The honor is the second of her Red Raider career.
Ahead 1-0 versus Oklahoma Thursday night, Davis scored the next three goals to collect her first career hat trick before halftime. Her third goal marked the 100th point of her career as she joined Janine Beckie (2012-15, 130) and Kristy Frantz (1996-99, 108) as the only Red Raiders in the 100-point club.
Sunday afternoon against Kansas State, Davis struck the game's first goal in the sixth minute, giving the senior 10 goals on the year. Right before halftime, Davis setup Ashleigh Williams with a through-pass right between the K-State defender's legs as Williams finished her one-on-one opportunity with a shot from outside the 18-yard box.
