The men’s team falls out of the top 3 for the first time this season
LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech men's track and field team was slotted No. 4 while the women's program is ranked No. 6 in the fourth week installment of the USTFCCCA's top 25 poll released Monday afternoon.
Last week, the men were ranked No. 3 as the women were ranked No. 7.
The Red Raiders are coming off a two-meet as they hosted the Texas Tech Open – they're second to last indoor at home. The meet saw three school records go down as Rosemary Chukwuma topped the 60m list, while Demisha Roswell etched the No. 1 mark in the 60m hurdles Friday night. On Saturday, Moad Zahafi broke the school's 1000m record, a time that stood atop the list for 35 years.
Texas Tech is back in action this week hosting the inaugural Jarvis Scott Open Friday afternoon to conclude the indoor regular season slate.
