Tech will play four more games this spring campaign
LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech soccer team opened up its spring campaign with a 2-0 win over Abilene Christian Saturday afternoon at the John Walker Soccer Complex.
"It was a good start to the spring – so many new faces, young players, and so many of them getting a true opportunity to log 30, 50, 70 minutes," said head coach Tom Stone. "This is our first opportunity to play since November, so we're excited to get the win but more so, excited the way the players looked on an individual basis."
Junior forward Macy Schultz opened up the scoring in the first half with an assist by freshman Macy Blackburn. Right before the half, freshman striker Ashleigh Williams made it 2-0 as Elise Anderson assisted on the play.
Texas Tech's next game will be in Frisco taking on UNT at 1 p.m.
