PREVIEW: No. 7 Red Raiders at The Prestige

LUBBOCK, Texas – The No. 7-ranked Texas Tech men's golf team will begin play at The Prestige on Monday at the Greg Norman Course at PGA WEST in La Quinta, California.
The Red Raiders will be represented this week by Ludvig Aberg, Baard Skogen, Garrett Martin, Calum Scott and Kyle Hogan. Tech, which moved from No. 10 to No. 7 in the polls last week after a runner-up finish at the Amer Ari two weeks ago, will begin its three-day stay in California with a 1 p.m. (CST) start for Hogan.
Tech is paired with Stanford University and Vanderbilt in the opening round.
Skogen led the Red Raiders in Hawaii during their first tournament, finishing as the tournament runner-up at 17-under-par. A sophomore from Norway, Skogen is currently No. 7 in the Men's Collegiate Individual Rankings Presented by StrackaLine. He also finished second in the fall at the Maridoe for his top showings. Aberg remains at No. 3 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking and is coming off a 15th place finish at the Amer Ari where he shot 9-under along with Scott. Martin finished sixth at the tournament at 14-under to give Tech a pair of top-10 finishes.
Tech will continue competition next weekend at the Cabo Collegiate in Los Cabos, Mexico.
