Saturday marked Tech's second spring game
HOUSTON – The Texas Tech soccer team defeated Houston 2-0 in its second spring game of the year at the Carl Lewis International Complex Saturday afternoon.
"It was a fun game and getting to know our future Big 12 members as well," said head coach Tom Stone. "They're going to be a great addition to the league in 2023. We're still finding our footing with this young team, but there were a lot of good pieces in the game. So, we will take this experience as one and grow from it and move onto the rest of the spring schedule."
Tech jumped on the board first in the opening half as Macy Schultz slotted one home off an assist from Macy Blackburn. In the second half, Giselle Kozarski made it a 2-0 game, collecting a loose ball at the top of the box, rifling a low shot to the corner.
The Red Raiders are 2-0 this spring and will face New Mexico on the road Saturday, April 9
