Opening round of Big 12 Championship suspended

TRINITY, Texas – The first round of the 2022 Big 12 Men's Golf Championship has been suspended due to rain on Monday at the Whispering Pines Golf Club. The tournament will resume at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, but the championship has been reduced to a 54-hole format.
No. 5 Texas Tech currently leads the tournament at 5-under-par with Andy Lopez leading at 2-under through six holes, while Ludvig Aberg, Baard Skogen and Calum Scott are all at 1-under early into their opening round. West Virginia and Texas are both at 2-under, while Kansas State and No. 1 Oklahoma are both at 1-under.
Round 2 of the championship will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday following the completion of the first round with the same pairings previously listed for Round 2. The championship round of the tournament will remain on Wednesday.
