Tech soccer goes undefeated in spring slate

The Red Raiders did not concede one goal in five games
LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech soccer team concluded its spring season going a perfect 5-0 with zero goals conceded.
Tech started its spring slate with a 2-0 win over ACU back in early February. Macy Schultz bagged the first goal, assisted by Macy Blackburn. Ashleigh Williams made it 2-0 to close out the match at home on an assist from Elise Anderson.
A few weeks later, the Red Raiders snagged a 2-0 road win over Houston. Schultz once again kicked off the scoring assisted by Blackburn. Gisselle Kozarski rifled home the final goal. On April 9, TTU traveled to New Mexico where a late header by Hannah Anderson just past the 60th minute proved to be the game-winner – assisted by newcomer Jillian Martinez.
Over the final three games, Tech would go on to outscore its opponents 9-0. A Thursday (Apr. 21) doubleheader saw TTU collect a 4-0 victory over LCU followed by a 2-0 win over West Texas A&M. Two days later, the Red Raiders concluded their spring with a 3-0 win over NM State. Goals were scored Anderson, Martinez, and Schultz. Assists were dished by Williams, Kozarski, and Hailey Palmer.
