Margarita Skriabina opens play at 2022 NCAA Individual Championship Monday

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Texas Tech junior Margarita Skriabina begins play at the 2022 NCAA Individual Tennis Championships Monday morning when she will face top-ranked Emma Navarro of Virginia at 10 a.m.
A First Team All-Big 12 selection, Skriabina is 14-8 overall this season and is 7-5 overall against ranked opponents.
This season Navarro is 24-1 in singles play, and is unbeaten in her last 14 matches.
If victorious, Skriabina would to Tuesday's Round of 32 where she would face the winner of Georgia Tech's Carol Lee and Kansas' Maria Titova.
By reaching the individual portion of the championships, Skriabina joins the likes of former Lady Raider greats Gabrielle Talaba and Felicity Maltby as the only players in program history to represent Tech in the 64-player field.
