Multiple Red Raiders seeking bids for World Championships

A total of 18 Red Raiders will be competing this week for their respective countries
LUBBOCK, Texas – Several members of the Texas Tech track and field team will be in action this week for their respective countries in hopes of landing a spot on their World Championships team next month.
This week in Eugene, Ore., the 2022 Toyota USATF Outdoor Championships will be held at Hayward Field Thursday-Sunday, where 10 Red Raiders are set to compete. It will also be home of the World Athletics Championships July 15-25 – the first time this competition is contested on U.S. soil.
Entry into the World Championships require athletes to finish in the top 3 of their respective event or by achieving the entry standard during the qualification period. The final list of eligible athletes will be published next Wednesday, June 29.
