Aberg selected to Haskins Watch List

The 2022 Hogan Award Winner was included on the 25-person watch list
COLUMBUS, Ga. – Texas Tech senior Ludvig Aberg has been selected to the 2022-23 Haskins Award Preseason Watch List, the foundation announced Thursday.
The No. 3 ranked player in the World Amateur Golf Rankings, Aberg debuted at No. 2 in the 2023 PGA TOUR University rankings.
The 2022 Ben Hogan Award winner, Aberg became the first Texas Tech player to win the award. The Sweden native was also named a PING All-America selection and was included on the All-Big 12 Team.
By winning the Hogan Award, Aberg became just the third European born player to win the award, joining Vikotr Hovland (Oklahoma State) and Jon Rahm (Arizona State).
Earlier this month, Aberg advanced to the Round of 64 of the 122nd U.S. Amateur where he fell to Rick Castillo of Florida on the 18th and final hole.
Aberg and the Red Raiders open the 2022-23 season on Wednesday (Sept. 7) when they head to St. Simons Island (Georgia) for the Fredrica Cup hosted by Vanderbilt University. Other schools competing include the Commodores, Big 12 Foe Oklahoma, Georgia, Ohio State and TCU.
