Red Raiders hold steady at No. 2 in latest rankings

In the event squad rankings, the Tech men hold the top pole vault group.
NEW ORLEANS, La. – In the second installment of the of the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released Monday afternoon, the Texas Tech men remained at No. 2 while the women slid to No. 13.
The Texas Tech men's team added or improved on five national top-10 marks over the weekend. As it stands today, Zach Bradford holds the No. 2 pole vault mark at 5.76m (18-10 ¾). Omamuyovwi Erhire made his jump debut and registered a 2.23m (7-3 ¾) height, also No. 2 in the nation.
Over on the women's side, the squad slipped three spots to No. 13 as they own four top-5 national marks. Rosemary Chukwuma ran a 7.09 (7.11c) to own the No. 2 60m mark as Onaara Obamuwagun leaped 13.38m (43-10 ¾) for the nation's No. 5 triple jump mark.
Texas Tech is back in action this week in Albuquerque, N.M. for a two-day meet Friday and Saturday
