No. 13 MGOLF storms back, wins both its matches

The Red Raiders won both their matches in day two of the Big 12 Match Play Tournament
HOCKLEY, Texas – No. 13 Texas Tech finished the second day of the Big 12 Match Play tournament winners of both its matches on Tuesday, defeating Oklahoma State in the final match of pool play in the morning and then knocked off Cincinnati in comeback fashion in the afternoon match.
In the win against the fifth-seed Oklahoma State, the Red Raiders breezed to a 4-1-0 win.
Calum Scott opened his match off right by taking a quick three-point lead over the first four holes. Scott only allowed his opponent to win two holes in the match as he would go on to win by a score of 2&1.
Tyran Snyders dropped the second hole of his match versus the Cowboys but quickly got that point back on the third hole. Snyders would then take the lead on the sixth hole and not look back. Snyders went on to win his match by a score of 3&1. Ben Gregg made quick work of his opponent; only needing 15 holes to win the match by a score of 4&3. Gregg only gave up four holes to his opponent over the course of his match. Matthew Comegys fought his way back to beat his opponent by a score of 2&1. Comegys trailed his opponent for six-straight holes but fought back to win the final three holes of the match and give the Red Raiders four wins in the match.
Jack Wall battled his opponent for all 18, he would win three holes in the match. However, his opponent would win the 15th hole and Wall was unable to gain one back. He went on to lose his match by one.
Due to the Red Raiders tying Oklahoma State in total points in Pool D play, the two advanced into a five-hole playoff for the right to advance to the semifinals of the championship. However, the Red Raiders dropped the five-hole playoff, placing Tech in the consolation bracket against Cincinnati.
In the match-up drawing the ninth-seeded Bearkats, the Red Raiders would win, 2-1-2, in a nail-biter of a match.
Scott handled his opponent in a quick fashion by not losing a single hole in his match, winning by a score of 5&4. He would only need 14 holes to put away his opposition.
Snyders would make an incredible comeback to win his match by a score of 2&1. He came back from a five-point deficit in which he lost the first five holes. He would go on to win seven out of the last 11 holes.
Gregg and Wall each tied their matches. Wall had a back-and-forth battle with his opponent and Gregg trailed most of the match winning the 17th hole to tie the match.
