Texas Tech men’s golf inks Luke D’Alise, Charles DeLong and Connor Graham
LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech men's golf head coach Greg Sands announced on Wednesday the addition of three Red Raiders – Luke D'Alise, Charles DeLong and Connor Graham – in conjunction with the National Signing period opening. D'Alise and Graham will join the 2024-25 roster while DeLong will be a midyear addition this spring.
Luke D'Alise | Lubbock, Texas
D'Alise, a Lubbock, Texas native, attends All Saints Episcopal School and is a three-time TAPPS Class 2A All-State honoree. In addition, D'Alise has 13 first-place finishes, 23 top-five finishes and 33 top-20 finishes on the NTPGA Junior Tour dating back to 2018.
In high school, his freshman season started with a bang as he pocketed a pair of 73's to win the TAPPS Class 2A individual championship and help All Saints Episcopal win the state championship. His sophomore season, All Saints was paced by a runner-up individual finish from D'Alise, who shot a 150, to help guide his team to taking home the TAPPS Class 2A state golf tournament title. Last spring as a junior, D'Alise finished in eighth place in the TAPPS 2A Championship golf tournament while his team finished in third place. This fall in the TAPPS Match Play Golf Showcase, his team finished as the Division IV champions while the Lubbock All Saints golfer recorded a hole-in-one on a 165-yard par 3 in the event - giving him hole-in-ones in the event back-to-back seasons.
Charles DeLong | DeWitt, Mich.
DeLong, a DeWitt, Mich. native, will transfer from Grand Valley State University, a D-II program in Michigan, and will be added to the Red Raiders' roster this spring. During his time at GVSU, DeLong racked up numerous awards at the end of his 2022-23 campaign, most notably the D-II Jack Nicklaus National Player of the Year Award – joining former Red Raider Ludvig Aberg who was the D-1 winner at the ceremony – as well as being named a First-Team D-II PING All-American in 2023, GLIAC Golfer of the Year and GLIAC Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
In the 2022-23 season, DeLong won seven tournaments, a program single-season record, and tallied four more top-10 finishes. He recorded 30 rounds shot par or better and a 69.0 stroke average. In the 2021-22 season, DeLong placed seventh in the NCAA D-II Championships, had eight top-five finishes, and three tournament wins.
Connor Graham | Blairgowrie, Scotland
Graham hails from Blairgowrie, Scotland. Graham became the youngest golfer to play in the Walker Cup in the 2023 tournament. He also participated in the 2023 Junior Ryder Cup on Team Europe. He is currently ranked 158th in the world by the World Amateur Golf Ranking and owns three wins and 11 top-10 finishes for countable events in its rating system.
