Anderson, Courtwright earn TopDrawer All-America status

Anderson was a Third Team All-American while Courtwright took home Freshman All-America honors
LUBBOCK, Texas – Defender Hannah Anderson and midfielder Sam Courtwright have earned Third Team All-America and Freshman All-America honors by TopDrawer Soccer.
A native of Plano, Anderson cemented her status in 2023 as not only the best center back in the Big 12 but also one of the best in the nation. A veteran of 96 career starts, Anderson recorded a career-highs in goals (5), assists (2), minutes played (2041) and games started (23). One of the best defenders in the country, Anderson closed her Red Raider career playing and starting in a program-record 96 consecutive games.
In her final season donning the Scarlett and Black, Anderson has racked up the accolades earning First Team All-America honors, First Team All-Midwest Region honors, a First Team All-Big 12 nod and the 2023 Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year. The defender was also a finalist for Soccer's Honda Award and was a Semifinalist for the Mac Hermann Award (National Player of the Year) in addition to this weeks' Third Team All-America honors from TopDrawer.
Courtwright also earned All-America honors this week, closing one of the best freshmen seasons in program history. The 2023 Big 12 Freshman of the Year, Courtwright started all 23 games for the Red Raiders this season scoring five goals and tallying eight assists. Courtwright finished tied for sixth on the single season assist list in program history and was a Third Team United Soccer Coaches Association All-American. Courtwright became the first true freshman to earn All-America honors in program history and was one of two freshmen in the country to earn USC All-America honors.
